Studio : Nintendo Release: 10. June 2022 Platforms: Nintendo Switch Genre: Sports game
Football has always belonged to my really big passions in addition to video and board games. Where a football was, there was often me, which is why I have always watched the career of football matches. However, while there were quite times in which both FIFA and the PES series fed to the pad, the games have decreased significantly in recent years, with their sad highlight last year.
There FIFA felt - that actually in the core is an excellent football game - for me only to Öder routine, which could not really pack me so much. And Efootball ? Well, this "game" and successor of the PES series I appreciated so immense I broke me the heart as well as colleague Hannes, that I really do not want to talk about it.
A kicker light strip on the horizon
Turkey prospects for me as a virtual football fan - and in a World Cup year. So I thought so. Because the Nintendo Direct in February brought me a blow again exactly this desire and almost euphoria on virtual football back. There was namely Mario Strikers: Battle League Football announced, with whom I had not expected so at all. What the surprise made but the better.
Tobias Veltin @Frischerveltin
Tobi has always been a big fan of the Mario sports games and has been wondering for quite some time why the Mario Strikers series makes such a long break. Accordingly, he was pleased with the announcement.
But what is this Battle League Football actually? In short, a fun football game, in which numerous figures from the Mario-Universum on small squares the balls around the ears ballers. And that in the truest sense of the word, because realism is spoiled here. Blood bassets and powerful power shots are on the agenda, a referee no longer available. Of course, this has nothing to do with realistic football, this is simply about fast action and accessible fun.
Battle League Football is not the first Mario football game and that's one of the reasons why I look forward to the game. For all predecessors - with the exception perhaps the Wii part - have already proven how good and searchingly the fleet kicks can be with the Mario characters. Mounted actions, many opportunities and gates and quick matches always caused it that it was right after the final whistle: "Lot, another revanche party".

New elements for hopefully more fun
The latest part looks like he would take the well-tried concept and pick up with a few new elements, including equipment for the kickers, which can change certain values and a developed online and multiplayer mode, in which it will be possible To start online clubs and join them.
Besides, there are now hyper balls that allow us to activate a hypershow, but at the core Battle League Football will be exactly the fun football game that I have already celebrated on the Gamecube. And now it will even be possible to play multiplayer matches with up to 8 people. What will that please be a wonderful chaos?
And maybe I'll just like a brain-off football game after my football fust last year with Efootball and FIFA just again. One, in which I do not have to scissors great for standings or control knobs, but in which I take the controller in hand and just have a good time. Not that this would not be possible with Efootball or FIFA, but with Battle League Football, I appreciate the chances much higher now.
A simple hope
But it's not just the easy accessibility that suggests me now the release of the next Mario Football game. It is at least as well as the hope that League Football feels a bit "as early". Namely, as the time between 2002 and 2005, where Fun football games were even greater in fashion - someone else knows Sega Soccer Slam ? I always thought it was a pity that this time went over and there are hardly any arcade football matches nowadays.
The new Mario Football brings this feeling a bit for me now and I hope that the finished game can meet the expectations set by me in June. Especially since they are not really high. Because the only thing I expect is a football match that just makes me through and through fun. Anyway, I have not written down a humorous football summer.
How is it with you with the anticipation of Mario Striker ordered?
